Cremation Registration Process

Issue of Cremation Registration certificate:
- Purchase Cremation Registration Application form from Birth and Death department of this municipality against Rs. 10/-.
- Submit the filled application form to Birth and Death department in this connection please note that "Place of Death may or may not be within Barrackpore jurisdiction but cremation done within Barrackpore jurisdiction".
- Applicant must attach the following documents along with the Application Form –
- Photocopy of Death Certificate issued by the Doctor.
- Photocopy of Death Certificate issued by the Hospital / Nursing Home.
- Photocopy of Burning Ghat / Morgue / Cemetery receipt.
- Photocopy of Receipt of submission of Voter Card.
- Photocopy of Receipt of submission of Ration Card.
- Submit the requisite fee as per the Rate Chart into cash counter of Barrackpore Municipality.
- Cremation Certificate will be issued within 4 – 5 working days.
**Note: Applicant must have a legal relation with the deceased person.
