Aadhaar Card

Aadhaar Card is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Indian government to residents of India. It is the world's largest biometric ID system, with over 1.2 billion cardholders as of 2021.

Aadhaar Card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which was established in 2009. The card contains biometric data such as fingerprints and iris scans, as well as demographic information such as name, date of birth, and gender. It is used as a proof of identity and address for various government and non-government services in India.

To apply for an Aadhaar Card, a person needs to visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre and provide their biometric and demographic information. Once the enrolment process is completed, the applicant is given an enrolment number that can be used to track the status of the Aadhaar Card application. The Aadhaar Card is usually delivered to the applicant's address within a few weeks.
